The first Friday of June is National Doughnut Day. It got its start when the Salvation Army sold doughnuts to raise money for people in need during the Great Depression.
In Franklin County, Dixie Cream in West Frankfort is offering buy a dozen for $6.30. Limit two dozen per customer. Any purchase over two dozen, will be $9.60 a dozen.
