Theresa Ann Miller, age 70, of Thompsonville, passed away at 4:46 p.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at the Deaconess Regional Healthcare of Marion, Illinois.
Mrs. Miller’s wishes are to be cremated. A Celebration of Life Service will be announced at a future date.
The Leffler Funeral Home of Benton is in charge of the cremation arrangements.
Theresa was born on November 3, 1955, in Springfield, Illinois, the daughter of Joseph and Irene (Graham) McLaughlin.
She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Benton.
Theresa was a retired waitress, having worked at various restaurants in the Springfield area.
She enjoyed watching movies, reading books, taking boat rides, and most of all cherished her time spent with her grandchildren.
Surviving is her loving daughter Elisha M. Comer of McCordsville, Indiana, two grandchildren Isabella Comer and Cole Comer, both of McCordsville, Indiana, a sister Mary Smith and husband Stephen of West Frankfort, Illinois, a brother Michael McLaughlin and wife Tracey of Lakeland, Florida, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Joseph McLaughlin and Thomas McLaughlin, and a sister Irene Cullers.
Memorial Contributions, In Loving Memory of Theresa Miller, may be made to the St. Joseph Catholic Church and will be accepted at the Leffler Funeral Home, 401 East Main Street, Benton, Illinois 62812.
