A scoreless second half resulted in the Rangers’ first win of the season.
Benton, now 1-1, will host Pinckneyville on Friday.
Five different players found the end zone for Benton in its first road test of the season.
The Rangers had three rushing touchdowns of four yards each from Hamilton Page, Blane Pankey and Andrew Dunn. Benton rushed for 188 yards while the defense held Sparta to 157 yards, and no single rusher getting more than 55 yards.
