THOMPSONVILLE, IL – Sophomore Reed Raubach fires a one hitter, striking out seven as the Thompsonville Tigers defeat the Joppa Rangers 10-0 this afternoon. This was a play in game for the Carrier Mills Class 1A Regional.
At the plate senior CF Austin Lunde led the offense going 2-3 with an RBI triple. Hunter Woodring was 1-2 and 1B Jared Payne was 1-3 driving in a run.
Nick Scro, Anthoney Darge, and Noah Summers each drew bases loaded walks to drive in a run.
Kaleb Cox took the loss on the mound for the Rangers, and Jase Hutchason had their only base hit. Those are two names to pay close attention to on the hardwood next season.
The Tigers will play the Crab Orchard Trojans TOMORROW at 4:30 p.m. at Carrier Mills. The game was moved up a day to accommodate Thompsonville’s graduation Wednesday night.
