From the Southern Illinoisan —
Five area baseball players have been named to the Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Association’s Class 1A and 2A all-state teams.
In Class 2A, Benton pitcher Ian McMahon, Carmi second baseman Bryce Northcott and Anna-Jonesboro center fielder Bryce Osman all earned all-state honors. All three are seniors.
