Beverly Jean Moffatt, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2026, at the age of 79, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on February 4, 1946, in Joliet Illinois, previously of Lockport Illinois, Beverly devoted her life to her family. She was steady, thoughtful, and caring, and those closest to her knew they could always rely on her. Her home was a familiar gathering place, where meals were shared and time together was valued.
Beverly took great pride in her role as a grandmother and stayed closely connected to her grandchildren throughout her life. She followed their milestones with interest and offered guidance and support in quiet, meaningful ways.
She is survived by her children; Julie and Bradley Elison, Gregory Moffatt, Daniel Moffatt, and daughter-in-law Kathy Moffatt, her grandchildren; Ryan and Karen Moffatt, Melissa and Colton Foster, Justin and Charity Moffatt, John Elison, Natalie and Bobby Gibson, Jordan Moffatt and Anna Sidler, Quinton Moffatt, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Hattie Mae (Hodgdon) Swanson, brother Ralph and Pauline Swanson, beloved son Timothy Moffatt, and best friend Grandma Carol.
She was deeply loved, and she will be dearly missed.
