Leora Jean Furlow, 83, of Christopher, passed away on Wednesday December 31, 2025 at Herrin Hospital.
She was born on October 26, 1942 in Rend City, IL to Lawrence and Zella (Wayman) Gilbreath.
She married Lindell Furlow on September 3, 1960 and he survives of Christopher. She is also survived by her grandchildren Ashley (Rob) Barrett and Corey Cavinder and one great granddaughter Lillian Barrett and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters Susan Leigh Pinkham and Daina Jean Dawson and eight brothers and sisters Kenneth, Dwight, William, Lucille, Maxine, Betty, Lola and Shirley.
A Memorial service will be on Saturday January 10, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Gilbert Funeral Home in Christopher with Brother Larry Cook officiating.
Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:00 Am until the time of the service at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations can be made to St Jude Children’s research hospital and will be accepted at the funeral home.
