Jeffrey Lee Roberts, age 52, of Benton, passed away at 6:10 p.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at the SSM Health DePaul Hospital of Bridgeton, Missouri.
Jeff was born on March 21, 1973, in Benton, Illinois, the son of Vernon Lee Roberts and Janet Edna (Wyant) Roberts.
He was a graduate of BCHS Class of 1991, where he was a multi-sport athlete in track, basketball, and football.
Jeff worked as a carpenter and was of the Baptist faith.
Outside of work, he enjoyed camping, fishing, woodworking, doing yard work and repairing lawn mowers, and rooting for his Chicago Cubs.
Surviving are two children: Montana Roberts of Zeigler, Illinois, Cami Roberts of Logan, Illinois; his loving mother Janet Border of Benton, Illinois; grandchildren: Ryver Wolff, Lily Wolff, Alaska Wolff, and Angel Baby Waylon Wolff; a brother: Riley Roberts and wife Leann of Ewing, Illinois; a special cousin and best buddy Ken Roberts; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Vernon Roberts, grandchild Waylon Wolff, paternal grandparents Marion and Oma Roberts, maternal grandparents Uel “Punch” and Edna Wyant.
Celebration of Life Services will be announced.
