CARBONDALE, Ill. — Saluki Athletics announced on Thursday that Kathleen Raske, the Director of Track & Field and Cross Country, has left Southern Illinois after three seasons to pursue other opportunities.
During her coaching tenure at SIU, Raske’s teams produced 98 All-Conference honorees and 16 All-Americans, as well as a pair of top-25 NCAA finishes, with the men placing 14th at the 2017 NCAA Indoor Championships and the women taking 23rd place at the 2016 NCAA Outdoor Championships.
“We appreciate Coach Raske’s service to our institution and wish her all the best in her future endeavors,” said SIU Director of Athletics Jerry Kill.
A 1990 graduate of SIU, Raske was an All-American hurdler, competed in five U.S. National Championships, including the 1992 Olympic Trials, and was inducted into the school’s athletic Hall of Fame in 1997.
