Severe weather in the forecast for Friday

By Steve Dunford

Deer hunters need to pay close attention to the upcoming forecasts.  When the Storm Prediction Center highlights an area of concern five days out, the confidence is high.

The National Weather service shared with spotters today that damaging winds is the main concern.  Right now, there could be a threat for isolated tornadoes as well.

What I have read up so far some forecasters are leaning toward a night time event.  Things can change drastically this far out.

Since it is deer season, I will make frequent updates.  Keep an eye on the Facebook page as I will be sharing information from the three TV stations in this market.  Also, there is the potential for there to be video briefings from the National Weather Service.

During the last severe weather event, thank you for the confidence everyone shown in me.  There have been a lot of people added to the page.  I am not a meteorologist, however I have a lot of training in that area.

Just be aware of this situation.
