CARTERVILLE – Three members of the John A. Logan College softball team have been recognized for their accomplishments this spring.
Sophomore shortstop Kiley Pelker of Nashville, sophomore outfielder Kelsey Rogers of Carmi, and freshman second baseman Jordyn Smith of Metropolis were all selected to the Great Rivers Athletic All-Conference team Wednesday by a vote of league coaches.
Pelker was also the lone Vol to be named to the All-Region 24 team. She was second on the team in hits with 66 and batted .423 with an on-base percentage of .477. Moreover, she blasted 13 home runs and drove in 49 with 14 doubles, three triples, and 53 runs scored.
Rogers knocked out 56 hits and batted .371 with a team-high 14 home runs. She had 45 RBIs, seven doubles, three triples, and 45 runs scored.
Smith led the team in hits with 73 and finished with a .422 batting average. She accounted for seven home runs, 30 RBIs, 17 doubles, and 58 runs scored.
