INA, Ill. – Four Rend Lake College Baseball players are being honored for a season well-done with nominations to the Great Rivers Athletic Conference (GRAC) All-Conference team and NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) All-Region XXIV Defensive Team.
Outfielder Nathan Williams (Kevil, Ky.), first baseman Ostin Clark (Camden, Ind.), and catcher Aiden McMahan (Wolf Lake) were named to the All-Conference team. Williams also joins pitcher Hunter Johnson (Louisville, Ky.) on the All-Region Defensive team.
Nathan Williams
Sophomore Willams finished the season with a .354 batting average, including 40 runs, 51 hits, eight doubles, three triples, and three homeruns in 46 games and 144 at-bats. The power hitter had an on-base percentage of .469 with a slugging percentage of .514 and a total of 30 RBIs this season.
Ostin Clark
With nine homeruns to his name, Clark finished his freshman season with the Warriors with a .345 batting average, which includes 29 runs, 58 hits, 12 doubles, one triple, and 46 RBIs in 49 games and 168 at-bats. Clark also hit an impressive .589 slugging percentage with an on-base percentage of .371 this season.
Aiden McMahan
The sophomore, seasoned catcher held his own at the plate this year, landing a .389 batting average in 53 games and 193 at-bats, including a .454 on-base percentage and .528 slugging percentage. McMahan scored 44 runs on 75 hits, including 17 doubles, two triples, two homeruns, and 38 RBIs.
Hunter Johnson
Johnson, a right-handed pitcher, finished the regular season with a .304 batting average with 39 runs, 48 hits, eight doubles, four homeruns, and 32 RBIs in 51 games and 158 at-bats. The sophomore also had an on-base percentage of .413 and a slugging percentage of .430. From the bag, Johnson has a 5-1 record with 16.2 innings pitched. He allowed 11 hits and 10 runs but struck out 21.
The Warriors ended their regular season May 3 with a 34-20 record, winning 12 of their last 15 games, and earning the No. 3 seat for the NJCAA Region XXIV tournament.
